When people have troubles with their PCs, whether their own fault or a lemon of a machine, they often "solve" the problem by switching to a Mac.

My child bride is one of these creatures.

Her computer, her brand new iMac, sits about four feet from my Dell PC. So unlike the person who makes the switch and then reflexively becomes a Mac apologist (AKA fanboy or fangirl), she doesn't really have to rationalize anything. In fact, she has to produce constantly and in a variety of ways, and she has to be pragmatic about her machine.

And guess what? A Mac is no better than a PC, and truth be told, she often has to pull out her PC laptop computer to get her work finished.

The usual myths:
Macs don't crash -- Bullroar
Macs don't freeze -- Horsefeathers
Macs are easier to use -- Meadow Muffins
